Guelph police say woman robbed while buying train ticket

The victim later sought medical attention

Guelph police are investigating after a Mississauga woman was allegedly robbed of cash while buying a train ticket in Downtown Guelph Monday.

Police report that at approximately 4:15 p.m. the victim, in her 60s, was attempting to buy a train ticket on Carden Street when she was approached by an unknown female who asked to borrow money. When the victim refused, the female grabbed her arm and began twisting it before taking a $20 bill from her hand and running away.

The victim returned to Mississauga and sought medical treatment.

The subject female was described as a white female in her late 20s with a bruise on her face.
