A Guelph shopkeeper charged after illegal weapons were discovered for sale in his store has been arrested again for failing to appear in court.

On Tuesday, the Guelph Police Service was advised the male had been detained at Pearson International Airport on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear. Officers attended and arrested him on the warrant.

The male faces several charges after officers attended a north-end business in April on an unrelated matter. While there, officers noted brass knuckle knives for sale in a display case. Such knives are considered prohibited weapons under the Criminal Code of Canada.

A 51-year-old Guelph male will appear in court Jan. 25.
