‘Hate-motivated graffiti’ found at south end park

A passerby came across several racial epithets written in chalk at a south end park early Saturday morning, prompting police to investigate.

The “hate-motivated graffiti” was reported at Dallan Subdivision Park on Poppy Drive East shortly after midnight, explains a police news release. The epithets were written on the ground.

Police seized a box of chalk left at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
