The Guelph Police Service is once again reminding people not to leave running motor vehicles unattended after the latest instance of a so-called ‘warm-up theft.’

A resident in the area of Victoria Road North and Woodlawn Road East called police Friday morning to report her husband had left their vehicle running in the driveway to warm up about 5:20 a.m.

When he went back outside, the red 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse was gone.

Anyone with information is asked to call Special Constable Allie Johnston at 519-824-1212, ext. 7457, email her at [email protected], leave an anonymous tip for Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
