A man already on bail facing charges related to nine break and enters was arrested Wednesday in connection with two more.
Guelph police report that approximately 1 p.m. Wednesday, they were called to a business on Norfolk Street after a broken window was located by staff. No entry was gained. A man was caught on camera walking around the building the previous evening.
Officers recognized the man, who was located downtown later Wednesday afternoon and arrested. During a search incident to arrest, officers located identity documents and keys determined to have been stolen during a residential break and enter last Friday.
Investigation revealed the man also used a stolen credit card to make a number of purchases in the downtown area over the previous two days.
A 22-year-old Guelph man faces 20 new charges including break and enter, attempt break and enter and multiple counts of possessing stolen property, using a stolen credit card and breaching court orders. He was held for a bail hearing.
