On April 16, 2018 at approximately 5:30 p.m., Guelph police were called to a disturbance on Brant Avenue. Police arrived and discovered that a male was being detained by citizens as a result of this disturbance.
Investigation lead to the identification of two victims, both of whom had been stabbed. Both victims were transported to the Guelph General Hospital and received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
A 26-year-old Guelph male was arrested and charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of assault cause bodily harm. He was held for a bail hearing.
