Man fled after pulling knife over bill dispute

Police are on the lookout man who allegedly pulled a knife on a north end business owner during a dispute over his bill on Thursday.

Officers were called to a licenced establishment near the intersection of Silvercreek Parkway North and Speedvale Avenue East at about 11:20 p.m. An employee reported a customer had pulled a knife on the owner and then fled on foot, police explain in a news release.

No physical injuries were reported.

Police were unable to find the suspect, who is described as a Black man in his mid-30s, with a slim build and black hair. At the time he was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.

He was last seen on foot heading east on Speedvale.
