Impaired driving, indecent act, breach of probation, and more

The following are news releases issued by the Guelph Police Service:

On April 14, 2018, at approximately 2:45 a.m., Guelph police were called to a west end gas station, where there was a report of an impaired driver. Police arrived on scene and located the suspect. The male was spoken to and a demand for a roadside breath test was made, which he failed.

Tesfay Measho, , a 44-year-old Guelph male, was arrested and charged with over 80 – care and control. He was given a May 25, 2018 court date.

On April 14, 2018 at approximately 5 a.m., Guelph police were notified of a break and enter in progress at a hydro compound in the north end. Multiple police units arrived on scene and were able to surround the property. A Waterloo Regional Police Service K9 Officer was requested and attended the scene. With the assistance of Waterloo Regional Police, a male was arrested in the compound.

Garry Fletcher, a 54-year-old Guelph male, was charged with break and enter, possession of break-in tools and theft under $5000.

On April 14, 2018 at approximately 11 a.m., Guelph police were called to a Woolwich Street apartment, where there was a report of a male sleeping in the lobby of the apartment. Police located the male and spoke to him.

As a result of this investigation, Clay Fry, a 50-year-old Guelph male, was arrested and charged with two counts of theft under $5000 and two counts of possession of stolen property. The property recovered is alleged to have been taken from a vehicle on Central Street.

On April 14, 2018 at 7 p.m., Guelph police attended to a business at Old Quebec Street mall, where security officers were stating a male in a restaurant was refusing to pay the bill. Investigation revealed the incident was much more than a “dine and dash”. The male suspect is alleged to have exposed himself to patrons prior to police arrival.

Yohans Medhani, a 28-year-old Guelph male, was arrested and charged with obtain food by fraud, indecent act and two counts of breaching his probation order. He was given a May 25, 2018 court date.

On April 15, 2018, at approximately 5:00pm, Guelph police were called to Old Quebec Street Mall, where security were dealing with a male that was banned from being there and refusing to leave.

Yohans Medhani, a 28-year-old Guelph male, was arrested and charged with breaching his officer in charge undertaking and two counts of breaching his probation order. He was given a May 25, 2018 court date.

On April 15, 2018, Guelph police were notified by Wellington County O.P.P. that a male and female that were wanted had been located and placed under arrest. The 19-year-old Guelph male and 18 year old Guelph female were transported to the Guelph Police station and charged with robbery and assault cause bodily harm. The male was further charged with two counts of breaching his probation order.

Between Friday, April 13, 2018 at 7am and Monday, April 16, 2018 at 7 a.m., the Guelph Police Service dealt with 584 calls for service.
