Numerous reports of nude male approaching women in west-end park

Police are hoping for the public’s help in identifying a suspect after receiving four reports since Thursday of a nude man approaching women at a west-end park, including one incident involving a small child.

In each of the reported incidents, police responded but were unable to locate the suspect.

Shortly before 1 p.m. on Thursday, officers were notified of a male in Margaret Greene Park on Westwood Road. He was initially seen near the baseball diamonds wearing what appeared to be women’s underwear, which he took off while walking toward a female and a small child, explains a Guelph Police Service news release.

At about 9:20 a.m. on Friday, a woman at that park reported a nude male approached her and tried to engage her in conversation. She left and the male was last seen walking toward the baseball diamonds.

The third incident happened Saturday at about 3:10 p.m. A female reported a nude male in the park. He put his shorts back on and was last seen walking along Westwood Road and turning to walk north on Rhonda Road.

A female walking her dog on a trail that leads to the baseball diamonds on Monday at about 8:20 a.m. when she reportedly came across a nude male carrying a pair of shorts. The male began walking toward her but after she took out her phone, he put on his shorts and walked away.

The suspect is described as an Asian male in his 30s, between 5’ 7” and 5’ 10” tall, with short, dark hair and a heavy build.
