Pellet-gun-wielding person pinched downtown

At approximately 3 p.m. on Friday May 10, 2019, a male party entered into a business in the downtown area, and advised staff members that he had a gun in his bag. When staff looked at him doubtfully, the man opened his bag to reveal a black handgun. The man then fled the business on foot. [It is alleged that] this same man was seen approximately 10 minutes later on Carden Street pointing the gun at a city bus. He was last seen entering an apartment building located on Carden Street.

Officers searched the area and the male suspect was located in the area of Woolwich Street and Alexandria Street. A black airsoft pistol was seized and the 24-year-old male from Milton was arrested for weapons dangerous. He was later released on an appearance notice with a court date of June 18, 2019.
