Police make an arrest in July armed robbery at gas station

TOWN OF MINTO - On Friday, July 20, 2018 at approximately 4 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an armed robbery at a gas station on Highway 9, between Harriston and Clifford.

A lone suspect arrived on a motorcycle and entered the gas bar brandishing a shotgun. The suspect was last seen fleeing northbound on Highway 9 towards the Village of Clifford.

As a result of the investigation Wellington County OPP Major Crime unit has charged Justin James Patrick Horrigan, 25 years old of Fordwich, with robbery with a firearm and disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence.

He also faces charges of breaching probation and with failing to comply with a recognizance. He was held for bail.
