Two people face charges after police recovered a stolen car Monday morning.

Guelph Police Service officers were conducting proactive patrols at a north-end hotel when they ran a licence plate and determined it had been reported missing. Further investigation determined the car to which the licence plate was affixed had been reported stolen from Barrie.

Two parties were found inside one of the hotel’s rooms and turned over a key to the vehicle.

They will both appear in a Guelph court March 8, 2022.
