Guelph police say that reports of an indecent act on the grounds of two Guelph schools last month were made in error.

A male who was reported to have committed the acts at two south end schools was identified.

Investigation has determined the male’s actions were misinterpreted by a witness and in fact no indecent acts took place, police report.

Just before 6 p.m. on Oct. 8 the witness called police and reported seeing an elderly male exposing himself behind a bush on the property of a school on Clairfields Drive an hour earlier. The caller followed the male to another school on Colonial Drive where again he reported the male entered some bushes and exposed himself.

Police investigated the matter and have determined there is no danger to the community from the male in question.
