TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH - On Saturday, June 16, 2018, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere check on the Concession 2, Puslinch. At approximately 5 p.m. the driver of a grey sedan entered the R.I.D.E. check.
While speaking with the male driver, officers formed the opinion that he was under the influence of alcohol. A roadside screening test was conducted which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.
Forty-three-year-old Christopher Clayton Roberts of Flamborough Twp. has been charged with driving with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood contrary to the Criminal Code. A 90-day administrative driver's licence suspension (A.D.L.S.) and seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on July 13, 2018.

TOWNSHIP OF PLIKINGTON - On Sunday, June 17, 2018, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere Check on Sideroad 4, Inverhaugh. At approximately 9 a.m. the driver of a grey sedan entered the R.I.D.E. check.
While speaking with the male driver, officers formed the opinion that he was under the influence of alcohol. A roadside screening test was conducted which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.
Forty-seven-year-old Robert E. Ion of Elora has been charged with driving with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood contrary to the Criminal Code. A 90-day administrative driver's licence suspension (A.D.L.S.) and seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on July 10, 2018.
