A Guelph man faces an assault charge after a motorist was allegedly assaulted during a road rage incident Saturday.
Just after 4 p.m. police were informed of an incident in the parking lot of a store on Woodlawn Road West. A man was was pulled from his vehicle and repeatedly punched in the face and head by a man not known to him, Guelph police report. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The suspect was identified by witnesses and later turned himself in at the police station.
A 27-year-old man is charged with assault.
