Three charged after officers seize crystal meth, crack

On May 1, 2020 at 11:05 p.m., the Guelph Police Service received a call for service from a concerned citizen in regards to three people with flashlights out front of a store located near the intersection of London Street West and Woolwich Street in the City of Guelph.

At 11:09 p.m., police located two adult males and an adult female who walked away from the front of the store and approached the officers. Police quickly found both a backpack and clear plastic bag containing 5.2 grams of crystal methamphetamine laying on the ground next to the store where they had been standing.

Police were able to successfully arrest two of them, however one of the males fled on foot.

A search of the arrested male revealed a small clear bag containing 0.15 grams of crack cocaine.

At 11:44 p.m., the male who fled was found in a vehicle located near the intersection of Dufferin Street and Pipe Street. He was subsequently arrested.

A 46-year-old Guelph male has been charged with:
    •    Possession of a controlled substance (crystal methamphetamine)
    •    Possession of a controlled substance (crack cocaine)
    •    Breach probation order x2

A 24-year-old Guelph female has been charged with:
    •    Possession of a controlled substance (crystal methamphetamine)

A 26-year-old Guelph male has been charged with:
    •    Possession of a controlled substance (crystal methamphetamine)
    •    Escape lawful custody
    •    Breach probation order

They will appear in court on Aug. 14.
