Guelph Police Service dealt with 224 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:
 
Disturbance downtown – arrest made
On June 3, 2019, the Guelph Police went to a downtown Gordon Street location for a disturbance. Investigation determined that a male had caused damage to two cars in the parking lot and he was arrested.

A 36-year-old Guelph man has been charged with two counts of mischief under and breach probation. He will appear in court on July 19, 2019.

Two arrested on warrants
A 24-year-old Guelph man arrested on a warrant for take motor vehicle no consent. He will appear in court on July 16, 2019.

A 21-year-old Guelph woman arrested on a warrant for fail to appear in court. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Break and enter
On June 3, 2019, the Guelph Police went to a Regal Road business for the report of a break and enter. Two shipping containers located on the property had been entered sometime overnight. No theft appears to have occurred.

Theft from cars
On June 3, 2019, the Guelph Police received three reports of theft from cars. The locations were Carriage Street, Woolwich Street and Malcolm Road.

This crime is easily avoidable. Please lock your cars and do not leave belongings visible. If you do become a victim of this crime you can report it through the Guelph Police online reporting portal
