Guelph police are investigating after two Kubota tractors with a combined value of more than $60,000 were stolen from a west end business.

Staff from a business on Wellington Street West contacted police this week to report the thefts. The two tractors were parked outside the business. Approximately 3:40 a.m. Wednesday, males arrived in two vehicles and cut chains that were securing the tractors, which were then loaded onto a flatbed trailer. The two vehicles were described as a white Ford Explorer and a brown Ford pickup pulling the trailer. They were observed on video heading westbound on Wellington Street West.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Const. Scott Carroll at 519-824-1212, ext. 7489, email him at [email protected], leave an anonymous message for Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
