A Guelph woman was charged with impaired driving following a single-vehicle rollover collision Tuesday night.

Police say that just after 10:30 p.m. they were called to Woodlawn Road West and Elmira Road North after witnesses came across a Dodge Challenger which had gone off the road and rolled over in the ditch before coming to rest on its wheels. No injuries were reported.

While speaking to the driver, officers detected an odour of alcoholic beverage on her breath and could see an empty wine bottle inside the car. The driver failed a roadside breath test and was transported to the police station, where further testing confirmed she had more than the legal amount of alcohol in her system.

A 50-year-old is charged with impaired operation. Her driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.
