CENTRE WELLINGTON - A demolition permit has been issued to demolish a single dwelling located at 120 Wellington Rd as the dwelling is in poor repair.

The permit request will be presented before councillors at Monday’s council meeting where the property owners are requesting approval for the demolition.

The Owners of the property have made an application for a demolition control permit and are requesting approval to demolish the existing one storey, 1,359 square feet, single detached dwelling on the lot, including the foundation.

The dwelling is in poor repair and no longer meets the needs of the owners of the property.

As per the report submitted by Randy Bossence, chief building official of the township, the owners wish to remove the existing house so as to redevelop the property immediately.

The one-storey house was built in 1956 and is not recorded in the Township of Centre Wellington Municipal Heritage Register and is not designated under part four of the Ontario Heritage Act, the report states.
