WELLINGTON NORTH - The farmer’s market 2022 season is gearing up as council is set to discuss plans and the necessary road closure at Monday’s virtual meeting.

Council will be directing staff to prepare the necessary temporary road closure permit application for each Saturday from Jun. 25 to Sept. 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., for the portion of 320 King St. E at the Fairgrounds entrance in Mount Forest.

Since 2014, the local farmers market has proven to be a popular destination and has grown to become one of the best markets in the area.

Interested vendors must complete an application and sign that they have read and will abide by the rules and regulations of the Wellington North farmers’ market. Food and produce vendors are also subject to a Public Health application process and inspection.

Vendor fees, including taxes, have been set as follows:
$200.00 for a full time vendor for the full season
$ 20.00 per day for vendors who participate on a day-by-day basis

Anyone looking for registration details or other information must go to the farmers market website.
