How long have you lived in Guelph? Born and raised in Guelph
Do you reside in the ward you are running in? Resided in Ward 2 for 25 of the last 28 Years
Why are you running in this election? I am running in this election because I have the time, desire and experience to effectively represent you on a full-time basis.
What qualifies you to represent your ward?
- Previous Guelph city councillor (Ward 2) 2003-2006
- Appointed to Ontario Health Ministry for 10 Years (2009-2017) - Board of Directors - Ontario Ministry of Podiatrists & Chiropodists
What do you see as the main issues facing residents of the ward? The main issues I am hearing from Ward 2 residents are the primary issues facing the entire city: Hospital and health care expansion - AFFORDABLE housing - Mental Health and homelessness
What do you see as the main issues facing residents of Guelph on a broader scale? Suspension of city real estate tax increases.
What is the most important thing you want to see changed in Guelph? Controlling city growth and reducing "red tape" for city approvals.
To quickly address Guelph's needs we will require your new council to work together and to form a committee to directly engage the provincial and federal governments for financial assistance.
