Pet food company Petcurean and Ren's Pets pet supply stores have teamed up to donate 3,000 lbs of pet food to the Centre Wellington Food Bank.

The donation amounts to 10,500 meals for the community’s cats and dogs in need, says a press release.

"Petcurean is a proudly Canadian company that creates premium-quality pet food recipes sold exclusively through pet specialty retailers across North America and internationally. Previously, Petcurean donated 270,000 meals to support Canadian animal shelters in need at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Ren’s Pets began in Oakville as a small Canadian feed and supply store before expanding to 27 stores across Canada, as well as a 25,000-square-foot distribution center in Guelph. The chain is also a national sponsor for the University of Guelph-based OVC Pet Trust: Canada's first charitable fund benefiting the health of companion animals.
