Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health confirms there has been a COVID-19 outbreak at The Village of Arbour Trails Retirement Home.

One staff member was confirmed positive on Wednesday, says Public Health.

The facility is located on Bayberry Drive just south of Stone Road adjacent to The Village By The Arboretum. It is the first outbreak at the home during the pandemic.

This is the only current insitutional outbreak in WDG Public Health's cachement area. There have been 15 others during the pandemic, the last one was at The Elliott Community and was resolved July 22.

An outbreak is defined as one or more confirmed cases in a long-term care home, retirement home or hospital.
