GuelphToday received the following Letter to the Editor from Guido Sartor, regarding concerns with being injured by cyclists on sidewalks.

Bicycles on sidewalks. I am frustrated with cyclists approaching me from behind without warning when I am out for my daily walk.
I don't mind them using sidewalks but I have a right to be there without fear of being injured. I have Parkinson's and walk with a wobble.
The city and school districts should educate that this dangerous behaviour can hurt people. Ringers should be mandatory.
