GuelphToday received the following Letter to the Editor from reader Barb McPhee sharing her experience with Guelph's generosity
*************************
I cannot say enough about the amazing generosity of community of the City of Guelph. The North End Harvest Market, which provides fresh produce free to low income families, launched its annual Adopt-A-Week fundraiser on Thursday and the community came together in a big way to make this an amazing fundraiser.

Shout our to Brendan and his crew at Fixed Gear Brewery on Edinburgh Road for allowing us to use their amazing facility with such great food and drinks and service. Shout out to SHEBAD - Guelph based Jazz band who made the atmosphere cool and rocking. Shout out to Brendan Johnson from the Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition who was such a super host, and to Dan Evans from the GNSC for his incredible photos and behind the scenes work.

Shout out to the many donors and companies adopting a week of the market and all the friends of the market making the launch so successful. This was made possible by the amazing market volunteers who work tirelessly, using their skills and passion to help fight the food insecurity issues every week. We are not the solution but we are the gap filler until housing - fair wages and good jobs are improved and sustainable

Please walk us to continue to fight the fight and feed the hungry. For further ways to help or donate, please connect with 519-835-1016 or email [email protected]

Thanks Guelph for being so amazing.
