LETTER: Hospitals are a provincial government issue

Reader Daniel Gray has a reminder that it's not the municipal government that necessarily has all the say when it comes to hospitals

GuelphToday received the following letter to the editor from reader Daniel Gray regarding the ongoing hospital debate and which government should be the focus.

While I agree with others that we need to get either major renovations or better yet a new hospital, however they must remember that hospitals fall under provincial jurisdiction, and the municipal government has little to no control over Healthcare. So when you say things like we need a hospital not a library, well that's a moot point as those are controlled by different governments.

The library is a municipal issue the hospital is a provincial issue. So be sure if you're going to have an opinion which you are entitled to that you do your research first so you don't look all silly and uneducated.
