2006 Jeep impounded, driver charged with over 80

GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP – On June 20, 2016 at approximately 12:49 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a 2006 Jeep for speeding on Highway 6 near Wellington Road 51, Guelph-Eramosa Township. 

Police spoke with the woman driving the vehicle and believed that she had consumed alcohol. A road side test was administered which resulted in a fail. 

She was arrested and transported to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.

Her driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.

29-year-old Tina Nasiakos of Scarborough has been charged with Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code and Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

She is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on July 8, 2016.
