TOWN OF ERIN, ON -€“ On April 4, 2016 at approximately 11:30 p.m., a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting laser speed enforcement and monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 124 near Trafalgar Road in the Town of Erin. 

The officer observed a male driving a 2016 Jeep at a speed well above the posted speed limit. 

The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 127 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.

His driver's license and rental vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.

19-year-old Kyoungil Park of North York has been charged with race a motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. 

He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on May 18, 2016 to answer to the charge.

CITY OF GUELPH, ON -€“ On April 4, 2016 at approximately 11:55 p.m., a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar speed enforcement and monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near Laird Road in the City of Guelph. 

The officer observed a male driving a 2009 BMW at a speed well above the posted speed limit. 

The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 137 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

His driver's license and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.

41-year-old Maneesh Jain of Guelph-Eramosa Township has been charged with race a motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. 

He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on April 20, 2016 to answer to the charge.

The officer observed a male driving a 2013 Mazda at a speed well above the posted speed limit. 

The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 137 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

His driver's license and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.

21-year-old Connor Beck of Richmond Hill has been charged with race a motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. 

He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on April 20, 2016 to answer to the charge.
