A quick court appearance for a Guelph man accused of second-degree murder.

James Dobbs appeared in a Guelph court virtually Friday morning, and had his matter adjourned until Aug. 19.

This is in connection with the discovery of an adult male's body behind a business near Wellington Street East and Wyndham Street South in Guelph on July 13.

Police were alerted two days prior to an alleged murder inside an apartment building in downtown Guelph on July 10, according to a Guelph police news release at the time.

A publication ban is in place on evidence presented in the case.
