The Guelph man found guilty of manslaughter in the death of Nick Tanti will have to wait a little longer to learn his punishment.
Sentencing submissions in the case against Aidan Kee, initially scheduled for Friday, have been pushed back to Sept. 27.
Justice Gordon Lemon is now expected to announce his decision Oct. 18. It was originally scheduled to take place Aug. 30.
The sentence for manslaughter ranges from a suspended sentence to a life sentence.
Kee was found guilty by a 12-person jury in early June, in the killing of Nick Tanti in front of Tony's Billiards in the early morning hours of Feb. 29, 2020.
This follows a three-week trial in Guelph, where Kee was facing a charge of second-degree murder.
Kee is out on bail until sentencing, with conditions including a ban on possessing weapons, staying in Ontario, a ban on applying for a passport or other travel documents or speaking to any witnesses in the case.
His brother Angus was charged with manslaughter and accessory after the fact murder. The manslaughter charge was dropped in court, and Angus was acquitted of the accessory charge by the jury.
