Area home sales edge up in June

This comes after slower, pandemic-stricken months

The Guelph and District Association of Realtors reports that home sales were up in June, a rebound after slower months due to COVID-19.

There were a total of 345 residential unit sales in the month of June 2020. This signifies an increase of 134 home sales from May 2020. This marked an increase of 15.4 per cent from June 2019.

In June 2020:

  • 345 residential units were sold
  • $666,962 was the average price of homes sold
  • 448 residential listings were posted

In May 2020:

  • 211 residential units were sold
  • $607,902 was the average price of homes sold
  • 316 residential listings were posted

To compare, in June 2019:

  •  329 residential units were sold
  •  $544,907 was the average price of homes sold
  •  435 new residential listings were posted
