Arrest made after stolen debit card used at nearby business

A Guelph woman faces charges after a debit card stolen during a break and enter was used at a downtown business.

Approximately 2 p.m. Sunday a woman entered a residence on Fountain Street through an unlocked door and stole the resident’s wallet. A short time later his debit card was used at a nearby business.

A female was identified through surveillance video. She was located downtown just before 2 a.m. Tuesday and arrested. A 30-year-old Guelph woman is charged with break and enter, unauthorized use of a credit card and breaching probation. She was held for a bail hearing.
