Wellington OPP is reminding hikers to put valuables away
WELLINGTON COUNTY - Hikers are heading back to the vast and beautiful trail systems that we have in Wellington County.
Unfortunately in the past, criminals have taken advantage of this, and smashed the windows of parked vehicles to grab the valuables inside.
Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to remind residents to lock their vehicles.
Leave valuables at home or place them in the trunk of your vehicle so they are safely out of sight of would be criminals.
People using the walking trails are requested to note any suspicious persons near trail entry points and to take note of any associated vehicles and licence plates.
