Attention dancers between the age of eight and 17: you can be in this year's edition of The Nutcracker at the River Run Centre, and rub elbows with some of the country's best dancers.
Auditions for Ballet Jörgen's Nutcracker are being held at the Guelph Youth Music Centre this Saturday. If you're selected, officials say to be prepared to stay the rest of Saturday, as well as all day Sunday.
Dancers must also commit to weekly rehearsals on Sundays, leading up to the performances, which are Dec. 20 and 21.
Ballet Jörgen has been around since 1987, and is considered "the most widely toured of Canada's professional ballet companies."
The production was created in 2008 and has annually offered local dancers a chance to perform on stage.
Those looking to audition must register in advance online on the Jörgen Dance website.
