It’s that time of year when parents get busy shopping for new clothes and school supplies for their children.

But for some families, they can’t afford these extra expenses.

The Rotary Club of Guelph Trillium, in partnership with the Stone Road Mall and the Clothing Closet is running a back-to-school collection of clothing and supplies.   It will run from Aug. 1 to Aug. 31, and donations can be left in the drop-off boxes beside guest services in the mall.

“We are finding that people are passing on their children’s clothing rather than donating to us at the Clothing Closet”. shares Lisa Burke.  “We have a real need for clothing for elementary school-age kids.”

For those looking for free clothing, shopping hours are Thursdays 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The Clothing Closet is in the back of New Life Church at 400 Victoria Rd. N.
