Although many of the services offered at Guelph City Hall are closed for today's civic holiday, Market Square was hopping on Saturday for the city's family-friendly celebration of John Galt Day.
Saturday's event included family-friendly performances, T-shirt printing, the City Hall water feature, games, sidewalk chalk decorating and face painting.
Closed Monday are most city offices, including Guelph City Hall, all branches of the Guelph Public Library, Guelph Transit offices and the Evergreen Seniors Centre. There is no garbage pick up Monday, all pick up is delayed one day this week.
