Chamber to host mayoral candidates’ debate

The Guelph Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Mayoral candidates debate in council chambers at Guelph City Hall on Oct. 1, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

“As our community’s definitive voice of business representing almost 900 businesses and over 30,000 employees, it’s important that the Guelph Chamber provides our membership and the broader community with an opportunity to hear the Mayoral candidate’ vision for economic prosperity,” says Guelph Chamber President and CEO, Kithio Mwanzia.

“At the same time, this debate will provide a platform for the Chamber to delve deeper into each candidates’ positions on behalf of our membership and the community. Guelph is poised to continue on its trajectory as an economic powerhouse. Local decisions matter and will impact the long-term competitiveness of our community, so it’s vital that we see how diverse political platforms will relate to Guelph’s future prosperity.”

The following candidates will be participating in the debate:

  • Aggie Mlynarz
  • Cam Guthrie
  • Moderator: Kithio Mwanzia

This event is open to the public. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Seating is limited and is on a first come, first served basis.
