Check out the final design for the new splashpad in east Guelph

Construction to begin next spring and be done by spring 2023

A pollinator design has been selected for the spashpad coming to Eastview Community Park, with opening expected in spring of 2023.

The theme was chosen to celebrate the existing pollinator park over the former landfill site.  It incorporates flower, bee and butterfly shapes, along with “vibrant colours,” explains a post on the city website.

The splashpad will also include a hexagonal honeycomb pattern shade structure.

Construction is expected to start this spring and be completed in time for the seasonal splash pad opening in spring of 2023.

The splash pad will include a water recirculation system and on-demand activation switch intended to increase water efficiency, similar to the one installed at Hanlon Creek Park.

The final vision of the Eastview Community Park master plan is expected to take shape during the next five years.
