CMHA Waterloo-Wellington will receive $10,000 from Your Neighbourhood Credit Union.

“YNCU views mental health as a top priority for internal employees but also community members,” said in a press release from YNCU.

YNCU is a network of surcharge-free ATMs across Ontario.

“We are so grateful for this donation from YNCU. With the increasing mental health needs in our community, our services have been significantly stretched. This donation will help us reach more people, and sends an important message to our community about the value of their wellness,” said Helen Fishburn, CEO of CMHA Waterloo-Wellington, in the release.

“We are so thankful to have partners like YNCU supporting our work so we can continue to provide vital programs and services for our community,” she said.

The credit union has worked with CMHA to bring mental health programs to its employees like Power of Mindfulness and Gratitude, a webinar for staff.

In total YNCU is donating $30,000 to three CMHA branches.
