CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION OF GUELPH

Every year, the Children's Foundation goes on the hunt for a seasonal home for the Adopt-A-Family Program, relying on the generosity of a local business to provide them with a donated space to set up their "Santa's Workshop".  If ever there is a time to believe in Christmas miracles, this is it!

It is with great relief and appreciation that the Children’s Foundation reports they have a home this year at 69 Huron Street, thanks to the generosity of Coldpoint Holdings Ltd,, John Wood and Susan (Wood) Frasson.

“It is a pleasure for us to be able to support the Children’s Foundation in making Christmas shine a little brighter for local families,” says Frasson.

"It's a bit of a worry every year as to whether a Holiday Hero will step forward in time to save the day," says Adopt-A-Family Program Director, Karyn Kirkwood. “The Wood family and Coldpoint Holdings have been wonderful supporters of the Children’s Foundation in the past and we are so grateful for their continued help this year by providing us with a spacious home for Adopt-A-Family.”

Last year, the Adopt-A-Family Program was able to help 934 families during the holidays and having a space that can handle such a huge volume is crucial.

The space at 69 Huron Street, recently used for the Library’s giant book sale, is certainly big enough at 30,000 square feet, and the team of volunteers is eager and ready to move in and set-up Santa’s Workshop.

Donor Sign-Up for the Adopt-A-Family Program is now underway. Visit the website or call 519-829-0855 to find out how you can lift spirits for local children this holiday season.
