Conservative leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre making stop in Fergus Thursday

FERGUS – A high-profile Conservative Party leadership candidate is making his way to Fergus on Thursday. 

On April 21, Pierre Poilievre will be at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex for what his leadership campaign website calls a“meet and greet." The event is open to the public. 

Poilievre is an Ottawa-area MP for the riding of Carleton and has served since 2004. 

He announced his leadership intentions on Feb. 5, three days after the Conservative caucus ousted previous party leader Erin O’Toole. 

Doors open to the event at 12:30 p.m. at the community centre at 550 Belsyde Ave. E. Fergus. Attendees are asked to RSVP ahead of time here

Later that day, Poilievre will be in St. Catharines before making his way to northern Ontario making stops in Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury, Timmins and North Bay on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
