Designs for five new playgrounds released

Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring, wrapping up in the fall

The final designs have been released for five playgrounds to be built next year in Guelph parks.

It comes after residents voted between two designs for playgrounds at Goldie Park, Gosling Gardens Park, Herb Markle Park, Howden Crescent Park and Sunny Acres Park.

Designs were released in May for voting.

All five will feature accessible swings, while rubber surfacing will be included at both Howden Park and Herb Markle Park. Sunny Acres, Goldie and Gosling Gardens will have wood chips.

Construction for all five will begin in the spring, and is due to be complete by fall 2023.
