Owen and Charlotte top the list of baby names for Guelph for 2017.
In Ontario the top names were Benjamin and Olivia.
That’s according to the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services, who released the list of top names for the city and the region based on registration of names.
According to the ministry, the top names in Guelph were:
Boys:
1. Owen / William
2. Oliver / Thomas
3. James
4. Jacob
5. Hudson / Jackson / Mason
Girls:
1. Charlotte
2. Emily
3. Audrey / Avery
4. Ava / Olivia
5. Abigail / Anna / Hannah
In southwestern Ontario, the top names were
Boys:
1. Benjamin
2. Noah
3. Lucas
4. Oliver
5. William
Girls:
1. Emma
2. Olivia
3. Charlotte
4. Ava
5. Abigail
