On March 8, 2016 the Guelph Police Traffic Unit began an investigation into a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle that failed to remain at the scene. 

At approximately 9 a.m. a female pedestrian was walking south on Yorkshire Street on the west sidewalk when she was struck by a smaller newer style white vehicle travelling west on Suffolk Street.

The driver spoke briefly to the pedestrian and then left the scene. The pedestrian suffered minor injuries. 

The investigation is ongoing. Police would like to speak to the driver of the white vehicle.
