Guelph's Taco Bell location at the Galaxy Cinemas on Woodlawn Road will be taking part in Layers for Layers, a charitable initiative that lets people exchange a bag of clothing for free double layer tacos.
"Customers just need to bring in a few layers of clothing for a free, back-by-popular-demand Double Layer Taco," says a Taco Bell press release.
All clothing donations will then be collected and distributed to various local charities within Guelph.
The event happens Feb. 6 to Feb 8 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
“Taco Bell Canada is known for doing unexpected things when launching a limited-time menu item, and Layers for Layers is exactly that, but with an added layer,” says Veronica Castillo, head of marketing at Taco Bell Canada. “We’re sharing our love of tacos and love for our local customers by extending the giving season and giving back to local communities and those in need with the help of our customers.”
Taco Bell will also match would-be profits from each double layer taco given away during the event.
