The Guelph Humane Society is bringing back their beloved Garage Sale Fundraiser on Saturday, June 22, 2019. The garage sale starts at 8 a.m. and goes until 1 p.m. at the Guelph Curling Club, located at 816 Woolwich St, Guelph.
The garage sale fundraiser will support the Highest Priority Needs at GHS. This fund assists with medical treatment for pets and wildlife, care, housing, etc, for the community’s most vulnerable animals. There will be a raffle, cold treats for purchase, a photo booth, meet GHS animals, and more! GHS encourages you to bring the kids and enjoy a morning out.
“What better way to bring the community together then to host a garage sale fundraiser?” says Lindsay Elliott, Events and Community Relations Coordinator at GHS. “If you’re an avid garage sale go-er, this won’t be like your neighbour’s garage sale, the sale is going to be expansive and have a wide-variety of items to choose from. We are so thankful for the community’s support and are excited to bring back this classic event!”
Want to donate some of your clean and gently used items in order to support GHS animals? GHS will be hosting three donation drop-off days on-site at the Guelph Curling Club (listed below). GHS thanks the community in advance for their generous donations.
Donation drop-off days:
Saturday, June 15 - 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Monday, June 17 - 5.30 to 7.30 p.m.
Friday, June 21 - 12 to 7 p.m.
Due to lack of space, GHS unfortunately cannot accept items at 500 Wellington St. W., however, if you have any odd items you’d like to donate or any questions/concerns about the garage sale or donation drop-off days please call or email Lindsay Elliott at 519-824-3091 or [email protected].
A full list of accepted items have been posted online here. Items like books, kitchenware, games, clothing, pet supplies, etc are very welcomed!
