A former north end church may soon become home to a chiropractic clinic.
Applications for official plan and zoning bylaw amendments have been submitted to the city for 639 Eramosa Rd. that, if approved, would open the way for the former Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses to be converted into the new home of Guelph Chiropractic Health Centre.
“No significant on-site changes are proposed to the building or parking area, other than the removal of the parking spaces adjacent to Eramosa Road and enhanced landscaping is proposed in the front portion of the property,” states a planning report posted on the city’s website.
The applications come from 2795318 Ontario Inc., owned by Dr. Michael Grabowski and Dr. Katelyn McGhie, who would both practice out of the centre, along with a part-time athletic therapist. A potential fourth practitioner may be added in the future, the report explains.
The property is currently being used for temporary office space.
A public meeting on the plan is slated for Sept. 12, during city council’s planning meeting which begins at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be streamed live at guelph.ca/live and available for in-person participation inside council chambers at city hall.
The deadline to register as a delegate or make a written submission for the public meeting is Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. To register, visit guelph.ca/delegation, call 519-837-5603 or email [email protected].
