A total of nine COVID cases in four schools have been reported across the Upper Grand District School Board and Wellington Catholic District School Board.

The Upper Grand District School Board is reporting seven cases of COVID across three schools as of Sept. 9.

Three cases were found at both Brant Avenue Public School and Waverley Drive Public School and a single case was found at John Galt Public School.

The Wellington Catholic District School Board has found two cases at Bishop Macdonell Catholic High School.

All four schools remain open. One class/cohort at Brant Avenue has been closed.

The University of Guelph currently has eight cases on campus that were confirmed from Aug. 23 to Sept. 2. There have been no new confirmed cases since the beginning of the school year.

A positive case at a school does not mean the individual was exposed to COVID at the school. They may have been exposed somewhere else in the community.
