A distinctive sound, outstanding songwriting and commanding stage presence have helped make Gord Bamford a Canadian country music icon. Bamford will showcase his talents at River Run Centre as part of his cross-Canada Neon Smoke tour on Sunday, February 4, at 7 p.m. The Main Stage performance is presented as part of the Richardson GMP Music Series and sponsored by 106.7 Country.

Bamford’s current 29-city tour is in support of his latest album, Neon Smoke, which includes the recently released hit singles Livin’ On Summertime and Ain't It Grand, a duet with Blue Rodeo’s Jim Cuddy. It’s a record that lives up to Bamford’s reputation as a talented, true-to-your-roots performer.

“Each time I set out to make a new record my goal is to make the best record of my career and stay true to what has got me to where I am today” says Bamford. “I am proud to present my best record yet. Neon Smoke is not just a single or an EP, it’s a 15-song album that will take the listener on a musical journey.”

Australia-born and Alberta-raised, Bamford has a total of 22 Top 10 singles in Canada since his debut in 2008. He is a 24-time Canadian Country Music Association award winner, including as Male Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year, and a multiple-time Juno Award nominee. The U.S.-based Country Music Association has twice presented Bamford with its prestigious Global Artist of the Year award.

Well known in the country music community for his moving lyrics about love, family and friends, Bamford has worked with artists including Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Brooks and Dunn, and George Strait during his celebrated two-decade career.

Gord Bamford’s Neon Smoke tour also features supporting artist Aaron Goodvin, an up-and-coming Canadian country music artist with a rock solid portfolio of songs.
